Vanilla Beans & Vanilla Derivatives
At Agrapana Spices, our vanilla journey starts at the source—directly with farmers across Indonesia. We work hand in hand with local communities, ensuring direct trade, sustainable farming, and the highest quality vanilla. Each vanilla bean is carefully grown, handpicked, and processed to perfection, preserving its rich aroma and complex flavor.
Indonesian Vanilla: Pure, Authentic, and Sustainably Sourced
From Farm to Flavor:
How We Process Our Vanilla Beans
At Agrapana Spices, our Indonesian vanilla beans go through a meticulous farm-to-finish process to ensure premium quality, rich aroma, and maximum flavor.
Premium Vanilla Beans
We offer two of the world’s finest vanilla varieties:
✔ Tahitensis Vanilla Beans – Known for their fruity, floral, and slightly spicy aroma, perfect for high-end desserts, chocolates, and perfumes.
✔ Planifolia (Bourbon) Vanilla Beans – Rich, creamy, and bold, ideal for baking, ice cream, and gourmet applications.
Our beans are available in Gourmet, Grade A, B, C, and Extraction Grade, ensuring the right quality for every industry.
It all begins in the lush, fertile lands of Indonesia, where our farmers carefully cultivate Vanilla beans. Grown under ideal tropical conditions, each bean is hand-pollinated and patiently ripened on the vine for up to 9 months—a true labor of dedication and expertise.
Once harvested, the green vanilla beans undergo a traditional curing process, which includes:
✔ Blanching – Quickly dipped in hot water to stop maturation and activate the enzymatic reaction.
✔ Sweating – Wrapped and placed in wooden boxes to develop their signature dark brown color and deep aroma.
✔ Drying & Sun Curing – Sun-dried and air-dried in controlled conditions, ensuring the perfect moisture balance.
✔ Aging – Beans are stored for several months to fully enhance their complex flavor and rich vanillin content.
For our vanilla derivatives, we carefully extract and process our beans into premium vanilla extract, paste, and powder, meeting global food and fragrance industry standards.
